Abbotsford resident Patricia Driessen is a city councillor, business owner, event professional, and agricultural advocate who is passionate about strengthening the community she has proudly called home her whole life. Patricia was first elected in 2022, becoming the youngest female ever elected to Abbotsford City Council. During her first term, she has focused on responsible decision-making, meaningful community engagement, and planning for Abbotsford's future. She is proud of the work that council has done to advance key land assemblies and draft long-term recreation strategies that will help set the next council up for success. Patricia is ready to move those plans forward so residents can see real improvements to recreation facilities, sports fields, and community amenities. Alongside her public service, she and her husband Shane operate a broiler hatching egg farm in Abbotsford. Through her firsthand experience in agriculture, she understands the importance of protecting farmland, supporting local food production, and maintaining a strong agricultural economy. With nearly 20 years of experience in event management, marketing, and communications, Patricia has planned and produced local and national conferences, fundraisers, and community events. She holds a Marketing & Sales Certificate and Public Relations Certificate from University of the Fraser Valley, as well as a Diploma in Event and Convention Management from Thompson Rivers University. Patricia and Shane are raising their three children in Abbotsford and are active in minor ice hockey, ball hockey, volleyball, dance, choir, and Abbotsford Children's Theatre. As a dedicated volunteer through many of these programs, Patricia has seen firsthand the important role recreation and community organizations play in helping young people and families thrive. Known for her approachable and collaborative leadership style, Patricia remains committed to supporting families, protecting agriculture, encouraging economic growth, and ensuring Abbotsford continues to be a vibrant and welcoming community for future generations.

Born and raised in Abbotsford, Kristy Mills is a registered nurse, healthcare leader, volunteer, and mother of four who is committed to building a safe, healthy, and connected community for families. Throughout her career with Fraser Health, Kristy has worked on the front lines of healthcare and in leadership roles focused on workforce development, education, and strategic planning. She currently serves as Leader of the Nursing New Entrant Team, Career Pathways and Advanced Training, where she helps support and develop healthcare professionals across the region. She is actively involved in initiatives that support recruitment, retention, training, and professional growth within the healthcare system. A recognized leader in her field, Kristy founded and chairs a provincial committee dedicated to supporting internationally educated nurses as they enter the workforce. She works collaboratively with healthcare professionals, educators, and leaders to develop practical solutions that strengthen the workforce and improve outcomes for both patients and communities. Kristy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University, an Advanced Certificate in Neonatal Nursing from BCIT, and a Master of Nursing from the University of Victoria. A lifelong volunteer, Kristy has supported youth leadership, children's ministry, sports programs, and community initiatives. Together, she and her husband Phil have been actively involved in Abbotsford’s youth sports community, where Phil coaches rep softball, serves as Vice President of Player Development with the Abbotsford Minor Fastball Association, and has coached high school football. She believes strong communities are built through service, collaboration, and opportunities for people of all ages to thrive. Kristy is running for Abbotsford City Council to help ensure the city remains safe, family-friendly, and well-prepared for future growth. Her priorities include supporting public safety, strengthening community connections, investing in recreation and public spaces, and promoting responsible growth that maintains Abbotsford's strong sense of community. Outside of work and community service, Kristy enjoys hiking, fitness, camping, reading, and spending time with her husband Phil and their four daughters.
